Hi creative souls!
Lisa today with you with a new art journal spread, inspired by this gorgeous May Moodboard with delicate pink colour and botanical flowers. These elements are so relaxing and inspiring together and make me think about our life and the Earth we are leaving, and how it's important to take care of both, everyday.
The sgrafito style is very unusual for me, out of my comfort zone but anyway I loved trying to the best of my ability with heavy gesso and a spatula!
To start my page I brushed a thick coat of white gesso and before it dried I made various signs here and there. I made a little stamping with archival ink and I chose my composition.
I added Vintage Rose to color my background adding a little bit of water to get a watercolor and lightly effect.
I added some little embellishments and microbeads and so I made splatters with Black Liquid Acrylic to give a little contrast on my page.
