May 2019 - Bark - by Juliya Tirskaya
I completely agree that May is the time of "Simple Pleasures". Finally, we walk a lot after a long winter, enjoy the textures of houses and trees. And the mint color is for me the color of tenderness and love.
On my walks, I found a piece of bark from a large tree. Inside - a lot of tracks that the beetles made. This is such a beautiful texture that I decided to do an assemblage with this piece.
My work is about the joy that we find under our feet. Oh joy, when you have your own house, and a tree in the yard))
