APRIL 2019 – ART MASTERS - INSPIRATION BY TANYALEE KAHLER

Hi there Art Daily adventurers. Welcome back to another inspiration post for the month of April.

This month’s colour is Burgundy, and I have prepared a spread in my art journal and a process video using just that colour, and the mood board below.

I was very inspired by the middle row of images and printed the board out on an A4 sheet of paper and cut them down. I had the perfect acrylic ink colours from the Liquitex Muted collection and used them to blend the background.

A few standard college pieces tied the scene together and I then used some acryla gouache to illustrate some berries. I have become quite taken by illustrating botanicals lately with leaves and proteas being my most favourite.

To finish off the spread I found the quote on one of Finnabair’s sticker sheets that tied the page back to the Art Masters theme.
