December 2018 - About birds - by DeeDee Catron

Hello Daily Journalers! My main post comes to you this month in the form of a huge compilation... a compilation of all the beautiful things that have been posted in the group this month so far. Things like affirmations about checking out the world around you, celebrating small things, the color GOLD. I loved the post I shared about the birds & that delightful gold balloon from the main image this month, so I used both of those as inspiration for my journal page. 

If you read my last post, you'll know I cut one of Finn's new journals for Art Daily right in half.. it's really stretching my art brain & making me use my design skills to fill in a different sized space than I normally work in. 

It's really great for me though, because it's expanding my knowledge and abilities. I experimented a lot in the background of this piece...aiming for a sort of grungy old crumbly wallpaper look. 

The sentiment is made from vintage book texts & really strikes home for me.
