June 2020 - Chose to See - by Finnabair
Hi my dear Art Friends!
What do you think about monochromatic colour palettes?
I have to admit I love them as they correspond with my textured, rich style beautifully... but on the flat, not so dimensional journal page they seem to be a kind of challenge...
I've decided to start with some really basic, black and grey layers and then the whole process just naturally started to happen, almost without my control!
I've added tapes, papers, Art Extravagance White Crackle Paste, lace... and finally stencil with black paint - it all came together so quickly I was surprised myself! I didn't have to add a lot of details - small photo was clearly visible and a group of butterflies added a bit of mystery to the whole story!
As my finishing touches, I've added some golden splatters, clear dimensional dots and a tiny bit of the silver wax - all that work together to make this imperfect, but still wonderful journal page!
I hope you are having a great, creative week!
Sending love your way
