July 2020 - Fly again - Aleksandra Mihelic

I love the bold colors and the inspiration behind this month's Art Daily Moodboard. Isn't it gorgeous? And with such deep meaning. My first inspiration wandered to rusty cogs. I had this stamp in my stash that I haven't used yet in any of my projects and it felt perfect for it!

"If you want a change in the future, become that change in the present." (Gandhi Mahatma)
It's a very deep and meaningful quote for me. It talks about how changes, at least to a better place, never happen all by itself. We have to work hard towards them! There are so many ups and downs in our lives. Sometimes we are soaring over the peaks like eagles and sometimes we walk in the valleys of troubles and despair. And I feel that one of the greatest things that makes a difference is whether we are capable of picking ourselves up, taking our broken wings and learning to fly again, so we can soar even higher than before.

This project will be hanging in my studio. I often need reminders of what is truly important, so I think this will be a good one. What are your best reminders and uplifting things, when you are down? I'd love to hear about it!

Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely day!
Hugs, Aleksandra
